PRIVACY NOTICE
Pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 ("Regulation"), below you will find information on the processing of your personal data when you access the the Partecipa Ca' Foscari Platform ("Platform") available at: https://partecipa.unive.it.
This privacy notice does not apply to other sites, pages or online services that can be reached via hypertext links published on the Platform but related to external domains.
1. DATA CONTROLLER
The data controller is Ca' Foscari University of Venice (“University”), with headquarters in Dorsoduro 3246, 30123 Venice (protocollo@pec.unive.it;), legally represented by the Rector.

3. CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA, PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES
The contents of the Platform can be accessed by anyone without the need for authentication. However, only members of the Ca’ Foscari community (with unive credentials) can act within the Platform, i.e. post comments, proposals, etc.
The data collected through the Platform to log in/register is: unive credentials consisting of your @unive.it or @stud.unive.it email address, password and OTP code associated with your email address. Moreover, on a voluntary basis, you can enrich your profile by uploading a picture and/or indicating what are the topics of your interest.
The purpose of the collection of personal data is to enable the Ca’ Foscari community to actively participate in the life of the University by submitting proposals and taking part in related debates. In order to make this activity more effective, statistical data is also collected on the use of the Platform, which can then be analysed in order to improve it.
You can, on a voluntary basis, send messages to the University's contact addresses published on the Platform and/or complete the forms on the Platform. In order to reply to you, the University will collect your contact details as well as any personal data included in the communications.
The legal basis of the data processing is represented by Article 6.1.e) of the Regulation ("performance of a task carried out in the public interest"), in particular, please refer to the Guidelines of the Partecipa Ca' Foscari Platform, which can be viewed as the first annex of each participatory process uploaded on the Platform. You may object to the aforesaid processing at any time by writing to the Data Protection Officer at the contact details indicated above. The University will refrain from any further processing of personal data unless there are compelling reasons that justify the continuation of the processing.
You are free to choose the content of the proposals and comments that you publish in accordance with the terms of use of the Platform, therefore if you share data relating to your health, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, or your ethnic origins, religious and/or philosophical beliefs, this data will be processed by the University in accordance with Article 9.2.e) of the Regulations ("personal data made manifestly public by the data subject").
4. RETENSION PERIOD
Data will be retained for two years after the closing of each proposal and then deleted.
5. MEANS OF PROCESSING
Personal data will be processed by employees, collaborators and contractors of the University who act on the basis of specific instructions provided with regard to the purposes and methods of processing (in compliance with the provisions of Art. 29 of the Regulations and Art. 2-quaterdecies of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003), using computerised procedures, adopting technical and organisational measures suitable to protect them from unauthorised or unlawful access, destruction, loss of integrity and confidentiality, even accidental.
6. RECIPIENTS AND CATEGORIES OF RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA
For the purposes set forth above, in addition to the employees, collaborators and contractors of the University, who act on the basis of specific instructions provided as to the purposes and methods of processing, personal data may also be processed by persons who provide the University with instrumental or accessory services strictly connected with the institutional activities of the University, duly appointed as data processors. The updated list of such persons can be found on the University website on the page https://www.unive.it/pag/36643/.
The posts you publish on the Platform are always associated with your name, surname/matriculation number and this data may be viewed by anyone that browses the Platform.
7. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT AND METHODS OF EXERCISE
As data subject, you have the right to obtain from the University, in the cases established by the Regulation, access to, rectification, integration, cancellation or restriction of the processing of your personal data or to object to the processing thereof (Art. 15 et seq. of the Regulation). The request may be submitted, without any formality, by contacting the Data Protection Officer directly at dpo@unive.it or by sending a communication to the following address: Università Ca' Foscari Venezia - Data Protection Officer, Dorsoduro 3246, 30123 Venezia. Alternatively, you may contact the Data Protection Officer by sending a PEC to protocollo@pec.unive.it.
Data subjects who consider that personal data relating to them are being processed in breach of the provisions of the Regulation are also entitled to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority, as provided for in Article 77 of the Regulation, or to take legal action (Article 79 of the Regulation).
Appendix to information sheet: Browsing data and cookies
When you browse the Platform, browsing data (such as IP address, time of access, Url, browser information, etc.) will be collected to ensure the correct functioning of it. Moreover, technical session cookies are enabled as they are necessary in order to ensure that the Platform works properly. It is not possible to disable these cookies within the Platform as this action would affect the functioning of it.
